I kept seeing this brush online and every review sounded amazing, so I decided to purchase one on an auction site. My boyfriend thought I was crazy to pay as much as I did, but I hoped it would be worth it. Prior to this brush, when we brushed my thickest-haired cat, we would get about 2 fingers (size-wise) of hair...and we had thought that was a lot. When we used the Furminator, we immediately got a whole ball of hair. After brushing all 3 of my cats for a very short period of time (we were just trying it out real quick), we had enough hair to create another cat!! It's a really great product. I got rid of my other brush and it would take a lot for me to try anything different. I HIGHLY recommend it if you have cats that shed a lot.
